After a hard day at work or some high intensity exercise there is nothing nicer than a long relaxing soak in the bath. Relaxing, detoxifying baths are a great way to switch the mind off and help the body to relax. All you’ll need is a bath, some relaxing music that you love, some beautiful scented candles and the following ingredients:
- 2 cups of Magnesium, Himalayan or Epsom salts.
- 3 drops of lavender essential oil
- 3 drops of lemongrass essential oil
- 3 drops of chamomile essential oil
Directions: Mix the salts into the bath as it is running to ensure they dissolve before getting in, then add the essential oils.
Lavender is very relaxing to the body and also has antiseptic qualities. Chamomile is renowned for its calming effects to the skin and body and is a great anti-inflammatory and the lemongrass helps rejuvenate tired skin and revitalise the body and soul.
If you don’t have these exact essential oils, don’t worry just use what you have with the Epsom Salts. Any beautiful smelling oils will help relax the body and mind and the Epsom salts help detoxify the body.
