Raw Granola Recipes
The great thing about designing your own granola is that you can make it exactly to your specifications so it’s 100% how you like to eat it. I prefer mine with just a mixture of seeds, coconut and dates. This keeps it nice and light but adds a good crunch to it. It’s so delicious I often sprinkle it over coconut ice-cream for dessert or have some with a tablespoon sprouted almond spread as a snack. My husband prefers his without any sugar so we leave out the dates and add some wheat free oats, extra fibre and superfood powders. It’s nice served with coconut (or another type of) yoghurt or with you’re choice of nut milk. I’ve provided you the recipes below to give you some ideas of ingredients you can use that work well together.
Raw Seed Granola
- 1 cup amaranth puffs
- 1 cup amaranth flakes
- 1 cup quinoa flakes
- 1 cup coconut chips
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup activated buckwheat
- 1.5 cups hemp seeds
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 8 medjool dates chopped
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients minus the dates in a large bowl until evenly combined.
- Add the chopped dates and mix these through. You will need to separate the dates as you mix them in because they tend to clump together. Once they are coated in the seed mixture they will separate nicely.
- Add to a glass airtight container and store in a cool dark cupboard.
Sugar-free Superfood Granola

- 1 tablespoon lucuma
- 1 tablespoon mesquite
- 1 tablespoon slippery elm
- 2 tablespoons psyllium
- 2 tablespoons acai
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl until evenly combined.
- Add to a glass airtight container and store in a cool dark cupboard.
